Did you know that there are two types of motivation?

1. External Motivation: You can get motivated by external elements such as an extra pay or additional benefits. for the extra work you do.

You could also get motivated by another person. Maybe that’s the person you admire or you are in love with that person. You may be motivated by that person’s beauty.

You can get motivated to go for morning walks due to pleasant weather.

But this type of motivation has one problem. The moment the motivating factor goes away; you aren’t motivated anymore.

Life takes over. And you get back to being lazy. You start procrastination and life becomes boring, bad and unbearable.

I am sure, most of you have gone through this experience several times in your life.

2. Internal Motivation: The person who is motivated internally continues to remain motivated throughout. The external factors do not become deterrent to them.

Most Olympic Champions are motivated internally. If you ask a swimming champion he/she will tell you how they were inside the pool everyday early morning irrespective of external conditions and simply practised and practised. The same is true for champions in every sport.
