Seven Lies of Success – Part 2

  1. It’s not necessary to understand everything to be able to use everything. The simplest example I can think of here how the common man is using a smart phone and its various features.
Most of don’t know how the electricity works; but we cannot think of living sans electricity.
  2. People are your greatest Resource. Successful people learn to have a sense of tremendous respect and appreciation for people. They have a sense of team, a sense of common purpose and unity. They are absolutely clear that there is no long lasting success without rapport among people; that the way to succeed is to form a successful team that’s working together. A quick look at Ambani, Tata, Birla, Azim Premji and Narayan Murthy will drive the point home.
  3. Work is play. Do you know anybody who has achieved a massive success by doing what he hates? I don’t. The key to success in life is to make a career out of what you really love to do. For example, I love to analyse numbers and help people achieve their goals quickly and easily. And now people pay me for what I love doing most.
  4. There’s no abiding success without commitment. If you look at the most successful people; they need not be best and brightest, the fastest and the strongest. But what all of them have a definite commitment to their work. They simply get into action and keep refining their knowledge and skills until they get what they want. They are willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.
